Get the latest scoop on the WOCEI and the Empowerment Conference

South Florida Women of Color community leaders will unite on Saturday, October 5, 2013 for the 3nd Annual Women of Color Empowerment Conference. The leadership conference will be held at the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The theme for the conference is “Building Relationships Uniting Leaders.”

The conference will feature presentations from top leaders in the fields of health care, law, corporate, government, non-profits, communications and technology.

Organizations involved with planning the leadership conference include: the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; The North Broward County Chapter of the Links, Inc. and the Zeta Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

The conference will focus on educating and motivating dynamic Women of Color to more effectively lead organizations; launch effective campaigns and take full advantage of technology in today’s marketplace. This year, the conference brunch speaker will be Lita Rosario, Esq., an entertainment powerbroker and Principal of WYZ Girl Entertainment Consulting, LLC in Washington, DC. She will share secrets on “Tooting Your Own Horn Without Bragging.”

Marshawn Evans, former Miss America beauty queen, turned Donald Trump apprentice, attorney and author of the best selling book “Skirts in the Boardroom” will share ideas of how to Elevate Your Influence™ – How to Expand Your Brand.

The conference will feature “hot topics” panels presented by leaders at the top of their respective fields. Attendees will experience networking with other leaders, helpful information and a scrumptious brunch. The day will be topped off with an opportunity for published authors share their books with attendees.
