We are pleased to announce that Lily Pardo is confirmed as a presenter for the 2014 WOCEC.
Lily Pardo is the Director of Public Relations and Community Affairs at WSVN Channel 7, the local Fox affiliate and #1 news station in the market. She rejoined the station in 2004 after spending several years running her own public relations/special events firm.
She began her career at WSVN in 1989 as Assistant Public Relations Director and Special Events Coordinator while she attended Barry University in Miami Shores. Lily was part of the team that shaped the way local news was viewed around the country.
After leaving WSVN in 1994, Lily became the Community Affairs Director at KJRH-TV NBC, a Scripps Howard owned television station.
She later returned to South Florida and formed K&L Consulting, followed by the Press Box, both public relations/event companies. Some of the projects she managed included the programming and marketing of film festivals to the marketing of renaissance festivals. Lily has also represented diverse clients such as the former Dade Human Rights Foundation, Gulfstream Park, and the Clio Awards. Some of the highlights of her career include mentoring young minds through project work and working with corporate event planners on incentive trips.
Lily’s position at WSVN grants her the opportunity to work closely with valued community partners. She is the incoming Chair for Hispanic Unity of Florida and is an active board member for the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. She is also a member of the marketing committee for the NSU Museum of Art and the development committee for Habitat for Humanity of Broward County.
A Broward resident and mother of two, Lily can be best described as an optimistic, fun loving human being. Or as a sleep deprived, coffee addict! You be the judge!
